The hearings opened today following a year of investiga- tions by the Commission's coun- sel.

John C. Williams, one of the counsel, said that Japanese ina- chines are under-selling United States products by about 20 per cent, adding that more than 250,000 were imported last year. This corresponded to one-fourth of all the machines sold in the United States. Mr Williams predicted that half a million would be Japanese machines Fold in 1951.

Why we say Ring- leader,

"Ring" is one of the oldest words in the world, and one of its meanings is the space in which a dance 18 held. Indeed, MANY folk-dances ure atill danced in a ring.
