Big Three

Foreign

Ministers

To Meet

Bonn, Oct. 24.

The Foreign Ministers of the Big Three West- ern powers probably will meet soon to review negotiations for rearmament and a "peace con- tract" for Western Germany, informed officials of the Federal Government predicted today.

They said the General Assembly session in Paris would provide a logical and convenient backdrop for such meetings. The US Secretary of State, Mr Dean Acheson, the French Foreign Minister, M. Robert Schuman, and the British Foreign Secretary, Mr Herbert Morrison, could ensily meet for informed talks about Germany, these sources said.

The Hon. George Edward Strickland, KC, BA, BCL (Oxon) was welcomed within the Bar on his appointment to be one of His Majesty's Counsel for Hongkong, at a ceremony held in the Full Court this morn- ing. Why we say Per capita.

Strictly speaking "per capita" means not simply "per head" but "per head of cattle." for the Latin word "capita" means "head of cattle." This is only one example of how barter by cattle, was once the recognised method of exchange, long before money came into common use. Another example is the word "fee" which is simply our way of saying the Anglo-Saxon word for cattle "feoh."
