Djakarla, Oct. 17. Foreign Affairs Secretary Darmasetiawan said on Wednes- day that Indonesia will not take part in the tripartite conference with India and Burma proposed by Burmese Premier Thakin Nu.

He said Indonesian Premier Sockiman has sent a message to Thakin Nu accepting the invita tion in principle."

He udded, however, that pressing business at home pre- vents his leaving Indonesia at present.

Soekiman said he planned to visit Rangoon, at a later date.

The conference has to discuss problems of mutual interest, Peace especially the Japanese Treaty.

Of the three countcles, only Indonesia signed the Pact. This has caused sharp reaction here in Nationalist and Leftist circies who claimed Indonesia left India and Burma in the lurch by siding with the Americans.-- Associated Press.
