Prospects Good For General Mansergh's Treaty Abrogation

Sources near the Security Council President, Senhor Joao Carlos Muniz of Brazil, today reveal- ed that prospects for renewal of the Anglo-Iranian oil talks were increasingly good.

Egypt is to rush through legislation to abro- gate the 1936 treaty with Britain as declared on Monday, Abrahim Farrad Pasha, a member of the Egyptian Cabinet's inner Council said here today.

The legislation will come into force imme- diately upon its publication in the official journal | on the same evening, he added.

Final approval of the draft laws abrogating the treaty and proclaiming King Farouk King of the Sudan was expected to be given by Commis- sions of the two Houses of Parliament tonight.
