George Saunders, the well-knowi local swim · mer, was walking alosg Des Voeux Road Central near Victor" Street about 9.15 p.in, yesterday when an unemployéd youth stole hin Parker 6I fountain pen.
Saunders felt the tug. turned round and grabbed hold of the thief, who hid the part inside a newn. paper.. which he then
dropped to the ground. With the aid of a district watchiman. the snatcher
was taken to the Pollen Station
Pleading gulity, the de- Kam, 21. fendant, Yip was set to prison for six months by Mir Latimer at Central this morning.
