LARGE ENTRY FOR WIMBLEDON CHAMPIONSHIPS

London, June 5.

The Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Championships, which begin on June 25, have attracted a bigger entry than last

year.

The Wimbledon staff were busy until late today sort- ing the entries which closed this morning, All the world's leading players from about 30 nations will com- pete, but so great are the entries thut some lesser known players will have to be ruled out completely, while others will have to take part in the annual southern and northern qualifying tournaments for the limited number of places reserved for them in the draw.
