Hongkong University 11 Months Of War In Korea
Starts Ambitious Building Programme
The Hongkong University will begin this summer on an ambitious building programme.
Plans drawn up for its development at the founding of the University in 1911 were lost during the war, but recently turned up. The Professor of Architecture, Mr Gordon Brown, had already settled on a new plan for the extension of the Uni- versity, and it proved to be very similar to the original.
Besides Professor Brown, Messrs Chau and Lec and Mr George Hall, architects, are busy enlarg- ing the main building and extending the Great Hall. Work will start soon.
