Overseas Visitors' Impressions

(BY OUR LONDON REPRESENTATIVE)

London, May 4.

The "China Mail" has taken a party to the Festival Opening. A Test Cricketer from Jamaica, a girl drama student from Pakistan, a newspaper publisher of Trinidad and his son, a well known London model who hails from Upper Burma, a Chinese businessman from Hongkong, a tribal chief's son from Kenya-these were our guests to tell what they thought of the Festival of Britain's South Bank site beside the Thames.

Under the shot tower, like an old brick lighthouse, with its radar aerial to the moon on the top, Allan Rac, from Jamaica, summed up with "It's a British habit putting an ultra-mortern gadget on a 100 years old lund- mark."
