Chances At The Valley

Tomorrow's

-The Second Day of the Fourth Race Meeting under the auspices of the Hongkong Jockey Club will commence at 2 p.m. sharp tomorrow, and with the possibility of the weather remaining fine there ought to be a large attendance at the Valley.

There are ten events down for decision, the main attraction being the Victoria Peak Handicap for Class 2 Australian Ponies. This is the last race on the programme. and it will be contested over the mile.

One Cup Finalist Finds Inspiration -Other Panics

By ARCHIE QUICK

It has happened before; I suppose it will happen. again. Two clubs reach the Cup Final. One finds Inspiration in the thoughts of Wembley and plays better than ever in League matches. Such a team is Blackpool. The other alde-in this case Newcastle United--becomes over-anxious and panics at the idea of injuries and losing chances of. Cup-winners' medals.

Since their semi-final victory over Birmingham City, Blackpool have won all thoir. League matches-two of them away from home. Newcastle have not won out- right in six matches. They are in danger of losing their, will to win and they may find it difficult, as other clube have before them, of regaining the initiative at Wembley.. I stick to Blackpool as winners anyhow, and with the rest of the country I hope Stanley Matthews will gain the last honour to complete his football collection.
