Extension Of War

London, Apr. 11. · The Foreign Secretary, Mr Herbert Morrison, said today that Bri- tain's aims in Korea were unchanged. She still stood for resistance-to aggression and no extension of the conflict.

He was speaking in the House of Commons a few hours after the news that President Truman had relieved General MacArthur of all his Far East commands.

There were cheers from Labour Members of Parliament when Mr Morrison started his Korean statement with a bare reference to General MacArthur's dis- missal.

In his statement the Foreign Secretary said that to remove any doubts about the matter he wanted to say Britain stood for resistance against aggression and for an independent and unifled Korea and no extension of the conflict.
