The story of a fight between two rickshaw pullers at the rickshaws stand opposite the Hongkong Star Ferry wharf which, the Crown alleged, resulted in the death of one, was related by the Prosecutor when the trial of Lui Hin, 26, charged with the manslaughter of Wong Yee-hing, 33, opened before the Senior Puisne Judge, Mr Justice Gould, in the Criminal Sessions this morning.

It was alleged that the fight arose from a quarrel between the two men about 1 a.m. on November 21 last. The Crown admitted that the deceased struck the first blow, with a fist, and in retaliation the accused assaulted de- ceased on the left temple with an iron bar. The Prosecutor alleged that as a result deceased succumbed to the injury received.
