Dishonoured Cheque:

Court Action

A claim for $19,000 drawn on a cheque in favour of the plaintiff Arm, which was subsequent- ly dishonoured by the Bank, was brought before the Senior Puisne Judge, Mr Justice Gould in the Supreme Court this morning.

The plaintiff firm is the Shing Kee Hong of 11 Queen's Street and they are represented by Mr. John McNeill, KC, instructed by Mr B..N. Coopér.

Defendants are the Sun and Sun, Inc. Bank of China Building, fourth floor, and Fung Sun-yiu, alias James Fung, its manager. They are not legally represented.

Pralati's claim is against the defendants. 65 drawers of a cheque dated March 29, 1950, for $10,000 drawn on the United Chinese Bank, Ltd., payable to the plain Uff's order, of the dis- honour of which on presentation the defendants had notice,
