Victorians Win Rough And Tumble Battle For Survival

BY "OBSERVER”

The Victorians firmly established themselves as favourites for the first post-war Ladies' Hockey League title after their repeat victory over Club de Recreio yesterday with the identical score of two goals to nil, Although they are at present third in the League table, their only real opposition in their remaining live matches will be the Gremlins "A,” and a win or even a draw hero will give them the Championship.

The Gremlins "A" and KGVS “A” each snatched two comfortable points, at the expense of each other's "B" teams, to enjoy jointly a temporary leadership of the League table. The Dutch Ladles climbed to the fifth position with a·8-1° victory over a depleted University XI.
