Scorpions Meet Optimists

At Chater

Road

The intra-club match at Chater Road tomorrow between the Scorpions and the Optimists is the most promising of the afternoon's Cricket League programme. Both teams are turning out their best talent, the Optimists being slightly at a dis- advantage in the attack with Tommy Mahon, their speed merchant, not available. He is about to leave for Australia.

The Optimists have yet to register a victory in this intra-club series, of the five matches played so far one being lost and the other four drawn. The Optimists had the better of two of these drawn matches.

at

Army, who are level with the Scorpions on points at the top of the League table and five points ahead of Optimists, are away to Club de Recreio King's Park, This, too, should be a close game and there is a definite chance for either Army or Scorpions to forge three or four points ahead.
