The Report and Accounts of Metal Industries of China, Limited, a company which con- tinued Inactive during the year, were submitted to the Annual General Meeting of Share- holders today.

Mr G. E. Marden, Charman of the Board, said:

I have nothing to add to the Chairman's Statement circulated with the Accounts and therefore formally propose "that the Re- port and Accounts in respect of the year ended December 31, 1949, as presented, be adopted" and when this has been duly seconded I shalt answer, to the best of my ability, any questions may wish to that shareholders

The British Council is holding an exhibition of colour prints of modern Western painting in its centre at Gloucester Build- Ing from January 20 to the 31st.
