The powerful Army fifteen, as was expected, won comfortably against the Police in the Pentangular Rugby Tournament on Saturday whereas a sadly depleted Navy ride had to fight all the way to overcome a very placky RAF team. The strong and gusty wind hampered good open movements although the Army did not seem to be effected to the same extent as the other fifteens.

Ken Wilson, made one of, his all to rare appearances at the base of the scrum and gave a polished display, sending his threes off in fine style. The Police backs were completely overshadowed by this combine, although they struggled manfully soldiers until the closing minutes when a series of defensive blunders allowed the to register three quick scores.

A unanimous decision to join the Federation Internationale de Hockey, Geneva, was reached at a meeting of the Council of the Hongkong Hockey Associa tion held in the Board Room of Messrs Shewan, Tomes, yesterday. It was stated that a fee of 145 Swiss francs (HK$198) would be payable. The Federation had approved of the local Association's rules.
