Mc. Brewster said that Yugoslavia was ruled by admitted Communist regime white "in Spain there is the one regime in the world that kas been able to allmiate the Com munist menace and influence." On his return from Europe carly this month, Mr., Brewster said in an interview that "Tito is tottering" as a result of the drought and Russian pressure.

Up to Tito

The Senator said then that when Congress returned in Nov- ember one of the chief questions facing it would be whether to grant aid to Tito. At the time he said that, January or Febru- ary might be too late.

Last night, Mr.

Brewster also declared that there was no-prac- tical problemn of food shortage unil next spring in Yugoslavia.

"This means ample time for the Congress to consider policy in the light of what Tito may do to release the 1,000 Catholic priests from prison and return 10,000 Greek children to their native land.

"Tito had better bring forth o few fruits before we too hastily

embrace him or his regime." Reuter.

U.S. lawyer may defend Seagrave

Denver, Colorado, October 28.

A New York attorney was re- ported today to be ready to go to the aid of Dr. Gordon Seagrave, famous surgeon, who is on trial in a Burma court on a charge of treason.

Mr. C. R. Gordon, editor of the Ex-CBI Roundup, Д national magazine published in Denver, reported that the volunteer was John L. Gussak, a colonel in the U.S. Army in India during the last war,

Mr. Gordon said the attorney knew Dr. Sengrave personally. "He looks like the anewer," Mr. Gordonald. "The only trouble) is that so far I have had no reply to my letter to the Secretary of State, Mr. Acheson, asking whe ther the China-Burma-India veterans cannot hire an attorney to defend Dr. Sengrave..

"Our Information is that a Butmese attorney has been re tained but we fear he may not be a competent man. Also, he may be intimidated. We would like to see Colonel Gussak start as soon as Mr. Acheson, gives pormission. ---Teuter.
