New Delhi, October 10. Nearly 600 shops including a bank and a post office, were destroyed in an all-night fire which rated until today through Old Delhi's bazaar district.

The police had no reports of deaths today, but thought it pos- sible that scine. wonen and children may havo, perished in the blaze.

The cause of the fire was un- known. An electrical short circuit was suspected. Property losses were estimated unofficially at 10,000,000 rupees.
