Moscow, October 10.
Russia protested to the United States last night that two American fighter planes had strafed a Soviet airfield 62 miles from the Soviet-Korean border.
The protest was contained in a note handed by the Deputy Foreign Minister, Mr. Andrei Gromyko, to the U.S. Minister-Counsellor Mr. Walworth Barbour.
Mr. Barbour refused to accept the note on the grounds that it should be
directed to the United Nations.
