CHEONG KIN-MAN SETS NEW HK RECORD
Much to the joy of his many admirers, youthful Cheong Kin-man of the Fortuna Swimming Club thrashed his rhythmic way to a new Colony's record in the second heat of the 220 yards free style of the Colony Swimming -Championships held at the Victoria Recreation
Club yesterday.
His time in winning his heat was two minutes 24.2 seconds which bettered the 15-year-old record of two minutes 25 seconds set by Wilfred Lawrence of the Victoria Recreation Club in 1935.
