Mr. Winston Churchill, leader of the Opposition in the House of Com- mons, today asked the Prime Minister, Mr. Clemont Attlee, to con- sider recalling Parliament in a wook or 10 days instead of on Sep- tember 12, the date announced. ·

Mr. Churchill, in a letter published today, suggested to Mr. Attlee that the date September 12 was "altogether too remote and bears no relation to the crisis and the new facts which are before us".
