Robbery suspects arrested
Fast work by the Police led to the arrest of two Chinese suspects less than four hours after an armed robbery in the New Territories.
The two men hired tax No. 4001 soon after 2 p.m. yesterday at Yaumati and asked the driver to take them to Fanling.
On, passing Ting Yuen one of out a revolver the men drew
and the two men robbed the lexi-driver of HK$20 and a wristwatch valued at HK$50.
The Police were informed and half-an-hour later arrested abcut
a man on whom was found a revolver.
Then about 6 pm, the second man was arrested and the wrist- watch which had been
taken from the driver was found on his person, it is alleged.
