SERIOUS CLASH IN LIEGE: THREE SHOT DEAD BY POLICE
Brussels, July 30.
Three anti-Leopold demonstrators were shot and killed by police in a clash in Liego today and the Socialist Party warned the Government that civil war may break out in Belgium on Monday. The warning was handed to the pro-Leopold Catholic Prime Minister, Jean Duvieusort, by a Socialist delegation protesting against the shooting of three Liege demonstrators who had demanded that the King give up the throne.
When the Socialist leader, Max Busat, left the conference with the Pre-
mier, he said, "It something is not done, it will be civil war tomor-
row."
