Wimbledon, July 8, 'Miss Louise Brough, of the United States, won the women's singlos championship for the third year in succession by defeating her compatriot, Mrs. Margaret Dupont, the 1947 Champion, by 6-1,3-6 and 6-1 today in the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Championships. A convincing win over her old friend and doubles partner enabled her to become the first Ameri- can woman to win the title three years run- ning since Mrs. Helen Wills Moody won from 1927 to 1930. The incomparable
