The Royal Air Force Hockey XI ended their sea- son in a blaza of glory yesterday, when they defeated their more favoured Civilian oppon- ents by two goals to nil in the final of the Quadrangular Tournament at King's Park. Completing yesterday's programme, which marked
the close of the Hong Kong Hockey season for 1949-1950, was a Ladies' match between Mrs. Read's Xi and Mrs. Houten's XI, as well as a Press versus Umpires gome. On conclusion of the games, trophies won during the 1949- 1950 season were presented by Mrs. W. A. Read.
In view of the fact that the Army did not enter a team for the Quadrangular tournament this year and of RAF's finishing somewhere near the middle of this year's League table, there were many whe thought that the result of yesterday's game was' a foregone conclusion in favour of Civilians.
