"The Heiress" next fare at King's

Rating: ***

"The Heiress," coming to the King's Theatre, is a tender mixture of unreality and truth told in a warm and gripping fashion. It is an analysis of some of tho, emotions which'ossail a father, his unwanted' daughter and their various idolatrics. Rara direction and fine acting give it a comprehensiveness and beauty which matches the broad sweep of the story. The picture is based on an idea of Henry James', and is taken from his book entitled "Washing- ton Square." It deals with the pathetic career of a young girl who is about to inherit a for- tune which her father is anxious should not be squandered by a suitor whom he believes to be more interested in her money than her heart,
