A 21-year-old Chinese man, Mak Kwan, was sentenced to a total of nine months hard labour by Mr. Reynolds, at Central yesterday when pleaded guilty to a charge of assaulting Cheung Kumn-sang demanding $40 from Cheung and stealing a wrist watch valued at $20 from him.

According to the prosecution Cheung went to the 7.30 pm. show at the Tal Yuen Theatre on May 28. After the show while on the way out, Cheung accidentally bumped Into a lady and im- mediately apologised.
