A British merchant ship broke the back of the Nationalist's
blockade of Shanghai yesterday.
At 8.32 o.m. the 3,331-ton Jardine, Matheson and Company vessel ss.

The police first found the tin on which, according to eye-witnesses, a paper saying that another home- made "bomb" was planted in 51, Parkes Street, was attached.

NATIONALISTS RELEASE TWO BRITISH SHIPS
The 800-ton British steamer Cloverlock, command- ed by Captain G. A. Patterson, returned to Hong Kong yesterday afternoon after one month's detention in Nationalist hands, with six shell holes, including one measuring al- most one square foot.
