The No. White House custom Lincoln Chemopolitan limousine which has been delivered to the U.6. Government for President Truman's use. The special car has a wheelbase of 145 Inches compared with the 120 Inch wheelbase of standard Lincoln Cosmopolitan sedan. The car was designed by Lincoln-Mercury engineere under the direction of Harold T. Youngren, Vice-President, Engineering, Ford Motor Company. le powered with a standard high compression 152 HP V-type B-cylinder Lincoin engine and is equipped with heavy duty Hydra-Matric transmission.

For the first time in a half century, F. A. Seiberling

is out of the rubber industry. The stocky little fighter, founder of rubber empires and an industrial wizard, resigned recently as chairman and director of the Seiberling Rubber Co.

At 90, F. A. has been forced to retire because of illness. Until a year ago ho spent nearly every working day in his office at the Barberton plant, Akron Ohlo.

His letter of resignation was simple and touching, ending the |career of a man who has reached the heights and taken the bumpe in a variety of industrial enter- prises.

Here was Mr. Akron, always a fighter, who was responsible for much of this city's industrial growth, finally stepping out of the harness.
