Operation of the Hotels Ordinance of 1949 has adversely affected the business of the Hong Kong and Shanghai Hotels, owing to the al- lotment of a larger ratio of rooms to Hong Kong residents, declared Mr. H. R. Cleland,-- presiding at the annual meeting of the com- pany, yesterday.
