RUSSIANS SPEEDING MILITARY SCHEMES

IN EAST GERMANY

Borlin, February 15. Reports reaching Berlin moke it almost certain that the Russian authorities are pressing for ward plans for the remilitarisation of the Soviet zone of Germany by land, sea and air. Mecklenburg, the province along the Baltic coast, is the main centre for these Soviet activitios.

It was learnt also that the Island of Ruegen, off the Nort Prussian coast and due Sout! of the Southern tip of Sweder is becoming a forinidable Rus sion naval base.

At Rechlin, says a further re- port, the Luftwaffe experimental station is being reconstructed as quickly as possible, with the help of former German Air Force

technicians.

It became known last Novem- ber that the Soviet Navy Was preparing the harbours of Ros tock, Warnemuende, Wismar, and Stralsund as bases for various types of craft.
