The Colony Gross-court Open Singles Champion- ship for the 1950 season, begins at the Hong Kong Cricket Club courts on Monday, Febru ory 20.
This year's tournament attracted 42 entries in this
event as compared to 48 last year.

Tsui Wai-pul, last year's.run- ner-up and previous holder of the title, will be making another bid for the title. Seeded No. 2, he has also drawn bye, meeting B. Fong in the second round.
The other two seeded players are Edwin Tsai and Tau
Tsui Yun- pul. Although Tral is a newcomer to the grasscourt tournament, he bae already gained prominence in the recent hardcourt Open Chain- pionships.
