President Truman today formally rejected all appeals for Amer- ican military aid to the remnants of the Chinese Nationalist Government in Taiwan.
In washing his hands of China's civil war, the President said specifically that neither American armed force, equipment or military advisers will be sent to help sove Taiwon from the Communists
His statement was a complete rejection of the Nationalist ploos for help. It was also a flat repudiation of Republicon demands for U.S. inter vention and of General MacArthur's advocacy that strong measures be taken to save the island.
