LUNG YUN TOLD TO Cameronians Leave NEW AUSTRALIAN GOV'T

REMAIN IN HONG KONG Reds Fear He'll Set Up Autonomous Government

ORDER FROM PEKING

General Lung Yun, former Governor of Yunnan Province and now o Deputy in the new People's Central Government, has been ordered not to leave Hong Kong for Yunnan where the authorities have de fected to the Communists.

Independent Nationalist sources said last night that the Communists fear General Lung Yun might set up an outonomous government which had for all practical purposes been existing until he was relieved of his governorship by Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek in 1945.

Yunnan which has always been a thorn in the side of the Nationalists, might turn out to be an equally painful problem for the Communists should General Lung be allowed to resume his reign over the pro- vinco.
