A Bill authorising the formation of an Essential Services Corps, independent of the Hong Kong. Defence Force, will be introduced by the Attorney-General at today's Legislativo Council meeting.

The proposed Bill will give members of the Corps -when called out for actual service-the some powers for maintaining peace, prevent- ing offences, arresting offenders as that of members of the Police Force.
