Sub-Inspector Bodie, prosecut- ing, said that on October 13, the accused visited the two complain- ants at Tsun Wan and asked them to finance the making of a movie. Both complainants agreed and gave the accused $1,000 and $900 nspectively to place in the Kwangtung Provincial Bank. They also handed him their personal to be chops. The money was give to a film producer when he had the cast ready for the film.

The accused banked the money and lock out two cheque books from the bank. He chopped sever al blank cheques without in- forming the partners and returned the chops to them but retained the cheque books.
