Colonel C. Y. Liu, Managing Director of CNAC, and Mr. Chan Cheok- lam, Managing Director of CATC, were among those who left by the planes according to manifests filed with the airport authorities. This mass desertion has given the Communist-dominated People's Central Government nearly US$2,500,000 in planes, spare parts, radio equipment and other aircraft apparatus, local aviation circles estimated.
