PANDA WINS DOUBLE TENTH PLATE

The weatherman was kinder to turf fans on Monday, the second day of the Double Tenth Race Meeting, for though the sky was overcast no rain fell.

Once again, as on Saturday, a record.crowd turned up to bet on the 12 events of the day, three of which were finished in a dead heat.
