SABOTAGE THEORY IN CHAKSANG EXPLOSION Typhoon Balked Efforts To Put Out Fire FOURTEEN MISSING

Sabotage by certain elements is one of the theories being in- vestigated by the authorities concerned in connection with the explosion which wrecked the ss. Chaksang on Wednesday night, the "China Mail“ learned yesterday.

As reported yesterday by the "China Mail", there were no passengers on boord the Chuksong which was due to leave Hong Kong yesterday for the North, This was officially confirmed."

FIFTEEN SHIPS BLOWN ASHORE BY TYPHOON

Fifteen occan-going vessels were blown ashore by the typhoon early yesterday morning in vari- ous parts of the harbour.

In Tolo Harbour seven laid-up ships were huddled together separated by a few yards from one another about 20 yards from shore in Taipo Kau.
