July 5. Dr. Otto Mauthe, fonner high official of the Wuerttemberg Ministry of the Interior, today sentenced to five years imprisonment for his part in the killing of more than 10.000 mental patients in gas cham-

bers.

The other defendants in the "euthanasin" trial here were sen- tenced to imprisonment and five were acquitted.

Dr. Alfons Stormann, former head of the Zwlefelten Asylum, where the patients Avere gassed, was sentenced to two years, and Dr. Fauser, a woman doctor who was head of the women's section of the asylum, was sentenced to 15 months. She will be released immediately because of the time Klic tan spent in custody.
