PRAISE OF COLONIES
Rehabilitation In Far Eastern Areas
COLONIAL OFFICE REPORT
+
London, June 15.
A tribute to the men whose ingenuity has helped, since the war, to robuild the shattered economies and social services of the Far East, was paid in a Colonial Office report issued today. The document, entitled "British Dependencies In The Far East," describes achievements in Malaya, Hong Kong, and Borneo territories as quite re- markable.
Among instances quoted of ingenuity are the manufacture of reinforcing rods for use in building, from steol salvaged from wrecks in Hong Kong har- bour.
