Servicemen Victimised By Local Underworld

A glimpse of the squalid life led by the thou- sands of street women in Hong Kong and Kowloon was obtained by a “China Mail" reporter when he went with a party of RAF Police to a bar, cafes and hotels where those women operató. He was also present at several raids.

The RAF Police Anti-Vice Squad were dressed in civilian clothes and worked in close co-opera- tion with the Civil Police. Protected by an efficient underworld intelligence system and said to be in league with some taxi-drivers, ricksha coolies and hotel boys, the womon ore said to be doing a sizable trado concentrating their attention on young Servicemen.
