The Central Political Council this morning approved Acting Pre- sident Li Tsung-jen's nomination of Marshal Yen Hsi-shan as The the next Premier to succeed General Ho Ying-chin. Legislative Yuan will meet tomorrow morning to confirm the appointment, which is expected without much opposition. Marshal Yen, who is well known as the former defender of Taiyuan for more than nine months, flew to Taiwan this morning in connection with the funeral of his mother who died four days ago. At the same time he will contact Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek on administrative and military problems.
