Farm's Profit

The Dairy Farm Ice and Cold Storage Company Limited, at its annual general meating yos- farday, reported a net profit of HK$3,187,636 for the year: 1948;.

Making this announcement, Mr. E. R. Hill, Chair- man of the Board, soid the working profit was the highest in the history of the Com- pany, and reflected the continued expansion of the Company's business.. Mr. Hill informed shareholders that the Board is considering the suitability of two sites in the New Territorias, Punjab Hill and Tai Po Tsai, offered by Government for transfer of the Company's farm from Pokfulum.

Two new features introduc-! ed at the farm during the year were mentioned by the chair- mon. They were artificial in- semination of cows, which has proved a success; and the in- troduction of machine-milk- ing.
