De Cheung was appolyted Superintendent of the Kwangying Army Medical College In 1934. Through his efforts the Canton Arany Medical College was es- tablished.
He was Dean of the College from 1938 to 1947. The College functioned at Anking, Kwelchow province, during the war years.
