REDS PUSH TOWARD HANKOW
Lin Piao's Army Roll Into Hupeh Province ULTIMATUM DENIED
Nanking, April 7.
A National Defence Ministry communique today said General Lin Piao's Manchurian Communist troops are rolling into Hupeh Province towards Hankow while 25 miles East of Nanking other Communists were reported to have smashed into the strategic river port of Yicheng.
Intensification of the Communist attacks was believed to be timed to back
up their demands in the negotiations in Peiping.
