OPERATIONS
As from April 1, 1840 all vessels engaged in dredging. or boring operations, within the waters of the Colony, shall show
the signals hereinafter mentioned to Indicate the nature of the work on which they are employed:-
By day.
A black ball at the foremost head and a black ball at the yardarm on the side, ar sides, on which it is safe to pass. A red flag to be displayed at the yardarm on the side on which it is dangerous for vessels to passi
