Bangkok, March 3.

The Siamese Government and police authorities to- day refused officially to confirm or deny wide- sproad reports of arrests and killings after last wook-end's fighting between the Army and the Navy in Bangkok.

Basement Murder Search By 'Yard'

London, March 3.

Scotland Yard detectives had to push through large crowds of curious sightseers today to reach a London basement that may hold the answor to part of Britain's greatest post-war crime riddle.

It is believed that five missing people were murdered and their bodies destroyed in acid baths. The basement is part of a five- storey house in the South Ken-
