Koiso Files Motion To Reduce Sentence
Tokyo, November 13.
Former Premier Kumlaki Kolso, one of the 25 de- fendants in the War crimes trial, today filed a motion with the Allied Military Tribunni in reconsider evidence and reduce any sentence against him.
Kolso, who succeeded Tojo as Prime Minister, de- clared through Sh attorneys that gross factual mistakes are found in the Judgment vital enough to influence the sentenee.
The motion said that evidence offered by the pro- secution is not sufficient to warrant a conviction of this defendant,
The motion was signed by Alfred W. Brooks, Koiso's American Counsel, and by Shohel Strumenjt, his Japart- esc counsel.-United Press.

Nationalists Rout Reds Near Hsuchow
Nanking, November 12. Nationalist armies today crushed all Communist hopes of blasting a road to Nanking in the near future with a smashing victory on the Grand Canal front, East of Hsuchow, whero- they routed oight crack armies, totalling some 160,000 men under General Chen Yi, after a 36-hour battle.
This unprecedented success-the Nationalists' first
