Bevin Outlines Allied Reply To Soviet Note Ready To Talk If Russian Blockade Is Removed

British Defence Chiefs were called into a Cabinot meeting on the Berlin crisis today, while the United States Commander-in- Chief in Germany, General Lucius D. Clay, summoned urgently from Germany, conferred in Washington with Presi- dent Truman and the Secretary of State, Mr. George Marshall. Viscount Montgomery, Chief of the Imperial
